Russ McLean, RMT

Specializations: Sport massage, trigger point therapy; relaxation, therapeutic, and pregnancy massage

Experience: Russ has been a massage therapist since 2001 and has treated a wide variety of injuries. He approaches client care with a combination of therapeutic and relaxation techniques that allow for faster tissue recovery. Russ focuses on involving the client in their recovery post massage and incorporates both remedial exercises and homecare stretching techniques for maximum client benefit. He has furthered his education to become certified in dynamic cupping and will be happy to discuss with you if this would be beneficial within your treatment.

Courtney Loach, RMT (Mat Leave)
Medicine Hat College

Specializations: Sport massage, myofascial mobilization, postural assessment, and trigger point release.

Experience:  Following a 3 year formal program in sports massage therapy, Courtney has expanded her skill set by becoming full-body certified in Active Release Techniques. She has worked as a massage therapist for Hockey Canada with their National Women’s senior team, National Women’s Development Team and their National Women’s U-18 team, as well as local work with the Calgary Buffaloes Hockey Association. Courtney has also traveled with our National Long Track Speed Skating Team to various international World Cups. She thrives on the ability to maintain an athlete at their optimum performance. Her experience, training, and love of sport have fueled development of a therapeutic approach to care, drawing from a diversity of techniques that always engages and strives to educate. When not at the club, you can find Courtney out running or bragging about her dog.

Specializations: Acupuncture, cupping, Chinese herbal medicine, sports medicine acupuncture, acute and chronic injuries, low back and neck pain, sciatica, stress management, migraines, post concussion symptoms, arthritis, fertility, menstrual problems, perimenopausal symptoms, digestive problems, and emotional imbalances such as anxiety and depression.

Experience: Naomi completed her Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Registered Acupuncturist in Calgary at Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She extended her education in China, completing an intensive 10 month internship at the Jinan Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital through the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Prior to this she completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, and has worked in the fitness and health industry for 10 years as a personal trainer and in injury rehabilitation. Naomi believes in taking preventative health measures to promote longevity and vitality in life.

Alexandra Quinn, RMT, B.A - Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy

Specializations: Sports related massage, trigger point therapy, therapeutic massage, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, prenatal massage and remedial exercise.

Experience: As a former CIS athlete, Alexandra has always had a passion for athletics and overall physical well-being. After completing her B.A. in Psychology, the calling for physical alignment and healing lead her to a 2200-hour program in Massage Therapy.  She is eager to work towards, and reach the common goal of, bringing balance to your body for optimal physical functioning.

Brittany Dezall, RMT

Specializations: Orthopedic assessment, Therapeutic and Relaxation massage, Lax & Stretch technique, Silicone Myofacial Cupping, Sport massage.

Experience: Brittany completed her 3,000 Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy diploma in 2015. Her treatment style consists of identifying the issue and personalizing a unique and dynamic plan that effectively addresses the underlying cause of dysfunction. She also incorporates a variety of stretching, strengthening, lifestyle advice, and hydrotherapy to maximize the treatment. Brittany believes that the first step to therapy is educating the client. She has worked with athletes at the Scotiabank Marathon and the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Between teaching and supervising second year students at Makami College and massaging she loves to spend her time out in the sun.

Melanie Beckwith

Melanie has excitement and passion for helping others excel and feel their best in life and sport. She is fascinated by how the body moves and performs, along with her active lifestyle and competitive nature she is committed to her clients success in achieving optimal results. Melanie is a Level 2 Fascial Stretch Therapist focusing on recovery and injury prevention. Before building her practice in Calgary Melanie practiced Massage Therapy in Edmonton and was certified in Joga (yoga for athletes). Melanie's has a background in Office Administration and as a past Director on the Hearts for Healthcare Foundation plus fundraising coordinator for Hearts for Hospital. These roles have given her experience in organization, team building, event planning and marketing to benefit our Healthcare system.
